COME & GET IT

CLASSIX, BUT BETTER.

FRANKIE’S ITALIAN

After ten years, the owners of Lil’ Baci decided it was time for a change by bringing FRANKIES ITALIAN to LESLIEVILLE. A neighborhood Italian joint reflecting the all day cafes and restaurants that are found throughout Italy. Frankie’s serves old school, as well as modern twists on classic Italian fare.

“They’ve had the same mother dough for 10 years here, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the pizza has stayed the same. The pizzas here have evolved to become a little thinner, crispier, and more personal size.”

“Besides a short wine and beer list, there’s a negroni menu that feature twists on the classic cocktail, including one made with rose hip and ginger. At the all-day coffee counter, caffeinated drinks are an extension of Bob’s coffee program, made with beans from Junction-based roaster Halo.”

“Frankie’s Italian brings fresh pasta and pizza back to Leslieville in the space formerly occupied by neighbourhood Italian standby Lil Bacci, which closed in February after more than ten years of serving hungry eastenders. On Good Friday, the owners of Lil Bacci (as well as Anabelle Pasta Bar and Bob Coffee Bar) opened up the renovated restaurant under its new name.”

“There’s going out for dinner and then there’s going out for dinner. The owners of the newly opened Frankie’s Italian on Queen St. E. near Logan Ave. want to excel at the relaxed, value-focused former.”
